About the Artist
Gerry O'Leary was born in Elmira, NY in 1972. Enjoying drawing at a young age, his interest in painting began in high school in Medfield, Massachusetts. In 1998, he married and bought a home in the town of Manchester-by-the-Sea, one of four nautical towns that make up Cape Ann, Massachusetts.
It is in his daily rounds of the shores and salt marshes of Cape Ann with his loyal Shepard/Cur mix companion that he finds the recurring themes of endurance, spirit and timelessness upon which to draw his subject matter. He continues to sell and exhibit his original oil paintings throughout the North East as well as on-line and commission. Gerry is a member of the Rocky Neck Art Colony.
